OOOH the holiday...

I was doing great before the holiday. eating better and working out.  although i didn't eat that bad over the holiday, i feel like my mojo is slowing down.  I got to curves Saturday late, so they were closing when i got there, so instead of going for a walk or something...I went back home and put it off til Monday....

Monday came and I was so sleepy at work that I could barely make it home!  I got home and went to sleep...So now, today....do you think I feel like going... No, I sure don't and that didn't stop me from having a bowl of left over Chitterlings and rice for lunch!  Yes I know I violated!   On top of the "healthy" lunch I had, I have to work late, and curves will be closed when I get off.  So today I say.."tomorrow for sure, It's the start of a new month" ....it sounds like the same cycle...I got to do something!

Maybe I will do my zumba DVD tonight??

And so it started!

Today a very dear friend brought to my attention one of the things I have thinking about for a long time, my lack of getting it done. About most things in my life I had considered myself to be a "doer" somebody who would get it done..But after reading her blog and thinking about some to the things I have working with the past 3 week, i realized that I am or was a "doer wanna-be". After reading her blog today...I am no longer a Wanna-be, I am DOING IT.

on October 31, 2010 my great idea kicked in..

I am no longer keeping this extra weight around...it is no longer my friend because it does not play nice! lol MY KNEES HURT! so I say tomorrow, Mr. extra weight....I quit you! lol

I joined Curves on November 1 and logged into some of my old chat boards to get some moral support. I figured that the only way I was going to get all this weight off is that I was going to have to look at it much differently than I use to...I have got to focus on something outside of just "how much did I lose this week"

So I came up with the idea that for years I have said that I wanted to do certain travels.. and have not yet gotten around to it.

when I looked at the weight I wanted to be at the end of this journey, I have a total of 194lbs to get rid of...that is a whole other person !!! yikes
so I figured that if i set a not food related reward at major milestones (every 50lbs) that would be something cool to look forward to. So I set up some goals:

  • 1st 50lbs is a cruise to Mexico (eastern) Cozumel
  • 2nd 50lbs is a cruise to Mexico (western) Riviera
  • 3rd 50lbs is a cruise to a Hawaii
  • at goal weight an Alaskan cruise

I keep saying I want to go to these places..and have not made it yet. Why these places? My BIL went to Cozumel and raved about it, he made it sound so beautiful....The Riviera...the love boat of course. lol Hawaii, Hawaii five "O". and Alaska...WHY NOT!!!!

So here I go.. On my "Weigh" to Alaska!!!
